Facilities Management is driving a revised strategic business model to focus on delivering client-focussed services, environmental sustainability development initiatives and the provision of business services.

FM coordinates the planning, development, construction, management and maintenance of contemporary and heritage listed buildings and landscape within world-class grounds.

Provides a range of business services and expertise to Facilities Management and the wider University including:

Client Services

Associate Director (Acting), Rowan Maclean

Key role and purpose is supporting University clients with a range of professional services including:

  • Managing, negotiating and analysing campus space allocation
  • Identifying and compiling space needs and developing preliminary project requests
  • Playing a primary role in the scoping and feasibility phase
  • Supporting executive in aligning project requests with the University's mission and OPP
  • Preparing business cases and funding applications for capital projects
  • Directing and managing the capital project delivery process
  • Monitoring, planning, budgeting and reporting corrective and preventative maintenance and life cycle renewal of facilities and infrastructure
  • Executing minor works and maintenance by delivering building trades skills and consulting advice

Environmental Sustainable Development

Manages the environmental sustainable development of UWA operations, landscape and transport.

Strategic Asset Planning

Manager, Frank Roberts

Manages the strategic planning of UWA buildings and infrastructure.

  • Planning expertise and advice
  • High level planning overview of UWA land and building needs
  • Obtain statutory approvals and advisory process to ensure campus development is consistent with campus plans and principles
  • Recognises the significance of the University's cultural heritage physical assets
