Assistance with Services Trenching

Policy

To ensure minimum impact upon the environment, the Grounds section provides advice and assistance with the installation of services trenches undertaken by the Maintenance Workshop.

 

Procedure

Grounds staff
  1. Remove turf to 30mm depth.
  2. Fence off site and re-direct pedestrian and vehicle pathways to ensure safety.
  3. Remove plants.
  4. Prune plants.
  5. Transplant trees.
  6. Cut roots.
Workshop staff
  1. Dig trenches and install services.
  2. Arrange for removal of rubble and waste from site.
Grounds staff
  1. Assist with removal of rubble and waste if required.
  2. Re-landscape site.
