Crisis Maintenance of Air Conditioning Systems and Mechanical Services Using MBCS

Policy

The Building Operations department of Facilities Management is responsible for maintaining conditions in air conditioned areas on the campus, at QE II Medical Centre and at the Department of General Practice in Claremont and Claremont Campus.

Air conditioning system alarm activates at Building Operations via Building Management Control System.

Senior Technician, Building Operations
  • Where air conditioning systems are connected to BMCS, these systems can be monitored and faults rectified digitally using the computerised Building Management Control System (direct digital control).
  • If problem cannot be rectified using the BMCS, attends site in person.
  • Where air conditioning systems are not connected to BMCS, the Technician must attend the site in person.
