Crisis Maintenance of Air Conditioning Systems and Mechanical Services Using MBCS

Policy

The Central Plant of Facilities Management is responsible for maintaining conditions in air conditioned areas on the campus, at QE II Medical Centre and at the Department of General Practice in Claremont.

Phones, emails or faxes Central Plant to advise that conditions are out of order


Or

Air conditioning system alarm activates at Central Plant via Building Management Control System.

  • Where air conditioning systems are connected to BMCS, these systems can be monitored and faults rectified digitally using the computerised Building Management Control System (direct digital control).
  • If problem cannot be rectified using the BMCS, attends site in person.
  • Where air conditioning systems are not connected to BMCS, the Technician must attend the site in person.
