Preparation of Grounds for Functions
Policy
The Grounds section is responsible for the preparation of outdoor areas for functions held on the University campus. All bookings are to be made through the Venues Office.

- Receives a booking for the use of grounds and notifies relevant sections (may include Grounds, Security, Unipark, Cleaning) of area required to be prepared by sending a copy of the booking form.

- Ensure area is cleaned.

| Hirer |
- Arranges a meeting with Grounds Staff to site structures which are to be used.

- Carry out the siting of marquees, fences, signs and other structures as agreed with the Hirer to ensure that no damage is done to underground services. The Hirer incurs the cost of this activity and makes payment direct to the Grounds section. (Refer to the FM Fees and Charges Booklet )
- Supply bins for function areas and arrange rubbish removal.

- Arranges for additional bins through Uniclean (6488 2004) where a large amount of rubbish is anticipated.
- Obtains permission from Grounds staff to locate additional bins.
- After the event:
- cleans up rubbish and places in bins provided and incurs cost of removing additional rubbish from site;
- removes structures privately installed;
- incurs replacement cost where trees, gardens, lawns and associated equipment have been damaged. (Refer to the FM Fees and Charges Booklet )
