Scope of Works Undertaken by Workshop

Policy

Smaller projects to modify premises can be undertaken by the Workshop.

More advice is needed if the project involves:

  • Space ownership issues
  • Space which is timetabled
  • Space included in wider plans
  • Ventiliation and heat loads
  • Fire detections system modifications
  • Power load or supply implications
  • Communications
  • Structural issues (walls, openings etc)
  • Change of use
  • Increase in occupancy
  • Alterations to services
  • Heritage implications
  • Disabled access issues
  • Multiple key stakeholders

Major works or works involving any points in the checklist above should be negotiated through the Project Management Section of Facilities Management.
