Scope of Works Undertaken by Workshop
Policy
Smaller projects to modify premises can be undertaken by the Workshop.
More advice is needed if the project involves:
- Space ownership issues
- Space which is timetabled
- Space included in wider plans
- Ventiliation and heat loads
- Fire detections system modifications
- Power load or supply implications
- Communications
- Structural issues (walls, openings etc)
- Change of use
- Increase in occupancy
- Alterations to services
- Heritage implications
- Disabled access issues
- Multiple key stakeholders
Major works or works involving any points in the checklist above should be negotiated through the Project Management Section of Facilities Management.
