Workshop : Work Carried Out at Departmental Cost

Policy

The following categories of work are not covered by University maintenance funding:

• Work carried out on departmental equipment.
• Alterations or additions which are not defined as maintenance (see Definitions of Maintenance)
• Work which is covered by an insurance claim for vandalism, fire, storm damage etc.
• Maintenance work of a non-urgent nature which is on a schedule for future implementation by Facilities Management, but which the department wishes to have completed immediately.
• Staff relocations.
• Furniture for new staff (funded by Departments).
